The Commander of UNIFEL West Sector – Joint Task Force – Lebanon Brigadier General Diodato Abagnara has welcomed Dr. Hassan Tajideen at the leadership sector in Shama.
The visit began with a tour on the Italian language classes, which is established by the sector in order to teach the Italian language to the south students under the patronage of the Commander Abagnara.
Then, a meeting was held between the two sides, during which Dr. Tajideen discussed the ways of joint cooperation between the Italian battalion and the schools of Stars College in the future, also to establish training Italian courses for students at the center of the school, and Arabic courses for those who would like to learn the Arabic language from the Italian Battalion commanders and soldiers, for the sake of promoting cultural exchange between both countries.
He also called on General Abaniara to visit the school to know more about its educational activities, thanking him for the hosting, and for all the support and offerings of contribution from Italy to the people at South Lebanon and to the civil society, for instance development, health, education aids and other services, praising its role as peacekeepers in southern Lebanon.

Colonel Abaniara in turn, promised to visit the school, assuring that it is a priority to him to provide a peaceful environment for the children to earn their education, and the leadership sector prevails in supporting the local population and the civil society.
In closing, General Abaniara honored Dr. Tajideen by giving him a shield regarding the Italian Battalion that leads the Western Sector of the UNIFEL. Also, Dr. Tajideen in his turn presented a symbolic gift that assembles the Lebanese heritage.
